Roasted Sweet Potatoes
Shopping List:
What to do:
Turn the oven on to 425 degrees
Get the spices ready in a bowl:
Light brown sugar - 1 Tablespoon
Salt - 3/4 Teaspoon
Chili Powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
Paprika - 1/2 Teaspoon
Onion powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
Black pepper - 1/4 Teaspoon
(optional) A touch of Cayenne pepper - less than a 1/2 teaspoon
Prep the potatoes
Peel 2 sweet potatoes
Cut into about 1/2-inch pieces
Put all the potatoes in the bowl with the spices
Add about 2-3 Tablespoons of either Olive Oil or Vegetable Oil
Mix up the potatoes w/ spices
Pour out onto a sheet pan in a single layer
Hint: Use parchment paper if you have it
Put in the oven
Set the timer for 15 minutes
Stir them
Set the timer for 15 more minutes
They should look kinda crispy, if not, put them back in for 5 mins
